Aaron Ford
Divorce & Family Law Attorney
Portland divorce attorney Aaron Ford is a dedicated family law advocate and a compassionate, relentless champion for those he represents.
Aaron’s expertise spans an array of cases, including divorce, child custody disputes, spousal support, and the division of assets. He guides his clients through the complexities of the legal process with empathy, clarity, and unflagging support.
Before pivoting full-time to family law, Aaron plied his trade in immigration and civil rights law.
“I was attracted to family law after working in the healthcare field both in community mental health and with the alternative courts,” he says. “I very much enjoy working with people and using the law to help solve problems. I want to help people be intentional and deliberate in what is motivating their legal outcome.”
He puts in the time and energy to get to know his clients and understand their circumstances and goals to tailor his legal approach to each specific case. Whether through negotiation or litigation, Aaron protects the interests of his clients and works to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University. He then received his master’s degree in counseling from Lewis & Clark College in Portland. From there he embarked on his legal journey at Lewis & Clark Law School, going on to earn his Juris Doctor degree.
When not fighting for the rights of his clients, Aaron enjoys judging forensics competitions and mock trial events for high school and college students. He also volunteers with the local bar association and other community organizations to promote civic engagement for young people.
